Our cars are leading edge because they use the most advanced technology to make the driving experience as captivating and luxurious as possible. But technology would be nothing without refinement and it being specifically tailored to the needs of the car user hence the crucial complement of finesse. Our designers strive to bring the two concepts together without losing the purity of each. In practice, this means the car seamlessly anticipates the desires of the driver and passengers so they feel it is responding to their wishes in advance of asking for them. For example, the Optitron display featuring the Electro Chromatic Device ECD automatically reduces its transparency in bright light to eliminate glare so instruments can be easily read. Or there is the bespoke illumination of features such as the door handles, gearshift lever and steering wheel at precisely the moment they are required. The graceful yet dynamic lines of the GS uniquely encapsulate this intriguing simplicity. It is a car that combines high technology, luxury, boldness and elegance in an engaging and perfectly crafted balance. 05 NEWGENERATIONDESIGN Lfinesse is at the core of the Lexus designphilosophy to be technologically advanced yet humanised, to create striking design but still be artistic yet unpretentious.
